Are You Black and Into Manifesting?
Manifesting in the Black community is often seen as weird or frowned upon so we spoke with Kimberly Cummings whose platform uses manifesting and hard work to help her POC clients achieve the life of their dreams.
For some reason it seems that when manifesting is brought up within the Black community it is looked at as a “white thing” or a weird concept that you just shouldn’t take part in.
Kia recently started reading and learning more about manifesting so when Kimberly Cummings did a workshop at her job about using both manifesting and goal setting to obtain the life you desire she knew she had to have her on the podcast.
Kimberly Cummings is the creator of Manifest Yourself, a digital platform built to promote community, excellence, and support for minority professionals looking to shatter glass ceilings in their respective industries. Through live events and interactive content, Manifest Yourself provides resources and opportunities for professionals looking to do more, be more, and achieve more.
In this very special episode, Janae and Kia sit down with Kimberly who explains what exactly is manifesting, how she built her business outside of her 9–5 and shares some success of her clients that have used her workbooks and attended her workshops. She gives more explanation as to why older black people tend to be less receptive on manifesting, the importance of 90 days when it comes to goal setting, as well as tips on manifesting things that are out of our control like love, health or tragedy. Kimberly even lets us in on how she manifested meeting her husband surprisingly on Tinder!
